The icMercury satellite wasn\u2019t just engineered to reach orbit. It was built step by step\u2014through doubt and clarity, setbacks and quiet breakthroughs. What carried us wasn\u2019t just technology. It was something older: the inner strength to keep moving forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Every space mission is a test of engineering. But before that, it\u2019s a test of patience, trust, and belief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The hardest part of launching icMercury wasn\u2019t technical. It was choosing\u2014again and again\u2014to keep going, especially when things felt stuck, uncertain, or impossible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because progress isn\u2019t always visible. And trust doesn\u2019t always feel strong. But when you commit to each step, even without knowing exactly where it leads\u2014that\u2019s when something shifts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And I want to share that journey\u2014because I know I\u2019m not the only one navigating that kind of space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Spark: Asking the Right Questions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The first step wasn\u2019t technical\u2014it was philosophical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Before any design or detail, we had to ask: What should a PocketQube satellite do in 2025?<\/p>\n\n\n\n Should it collect data? Enable communication? Inspire students?<\/p>\n\n\n\n Could it do all of those things\u2014while staying small, accessible, and meaningful?<\/p>\n\n\n\n We weren\u2019t building for performance alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We were building for purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And that one question\u2014asked early and honestly\u2014shaped everything that followed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2. The Compass: Defining the Mission<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n With a vision in place, we defined what success would mean for us:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Clear objectives gave us not just a goal, but guardrails.
